Tina Bartel has been buying and selling property in Southern California for well over twenty years – sometimes as an agent or broker, and often as a principal herself. She began her real estate sales career in Orange County in the 1970's, and in the past few years happily added residential sales and acquisitions in both San Diego and the desert areas (surrounding Palm Springs and La Quinta) to her repertoire.
Tina brings a wealth of negotiation and transactional experience to every deal – while she left the real estate industry for a number of years to specialize in aircraft acquisitions (including private jets for Worldwide Jet – specializing in the Gaming and Equine industries), as she says “the transactions are not as different as you might think, my only challenge is that I now treat every purchaser and seller as if the property is a multi-million dollar transaction whether it’s a tiny first home or a huge equestrian estate.”
She also has her share of experience in marketing and online promotions as founder of two businesses: Calibre Marketing (an international marketing and PR firm) and the Executive Suite Guide (an office space marketing site online since 1995). She takes a very proactive interest in property listings - from proper pricing, to home staging and photos, to the current technological aspects of research and online marketing of properties – feel free to ask about her latest “favorite” technologies if you’re a bit of a tech geek yourself!
On the community level, Tina is active with CERT (the Community Emergency Response Team) and the California Disaster Corps. She teaches “Emergency Preparedness and Home Security on A Budget” courses and is a certified Red Cross First Aid / CPR Instructor. And although she admits flying rarely fits in her busy schedule, she remains a licensed Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor.
Even with Tina Bartel’s unique skill set – her law degree (Western University College of Laws), extensive negotiation (Certified Negotiation Expert), Resort Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification, and overall sales and marketing experience – she still says the best part of her day is simply spending time with clients and sharing the success of making their real estate dreams a reality.
Her main focus for every transaction is 1) the very best price for her clients while 2) keeping the stress level for her clients as low as possible. Her motto is “The true measure of success is a happy client.”
